how does it work?

1. 1. SurePath® LBC begins with the collection of a cervical sample as shown below. The important point here is that the entire sample collected is sent to the laboratory once the brush head has been placed into the vial. Other major LBC systems just swish the brush in the solution and then discard it still with cells adhered

2. In the laboratory the vial sample is processed using the PrepMate® and PrepStain® machine to produce a stained slide. The unique enrichment system greatly improves the sample adequacy by removing obscuring cellular material. No additional clarification steps are necessary.

3. The slides are then screened by a cyto-screener.
